A story making the rounds of the financial broadcasting channels -

Last year two help desk operators at Nortel (Canada) each received a $1000.00 bonus. John took his bonus to a broker and put it all in Nortel stock. Seven shares at more than a hundred dollars a share.

Jim bought beer - 32 cases of beer. Recently John went back to his broker and cashed it all in for about $48 after fees. Jim returned the empty bottles for the manditory 10 cents about $76 dollars.

The moral of this story - Beer will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no beer.
